Prof. Sushama Kale is an Associate Professor and has been working as a Principal at PadmaYog Sadhana, Terna Trust, Nerul, Navi Mumbai. She is a Research Scholar  for her research study on  “Yoga and Positive Psychology” at Indian Institute of Technology ,Bombay (IITB).

Her special areas of interest is in Yogic Management of patients suffering with Cancer, Cardiac issues, Respiratory problems, Nephrology and Pregnancy, PCOD and Psychological areas of concern.

She currently heads the Terna Trust’s Padmayog Sadhana. Her educational background includes a Bachelors and Masters in Yoga Shastra from KJ Somaiya College. She’s a qualified Computer Engineer from St. Xavier’s Engineering College.

As an educator she has many rich experiences of conducting a number yoga trainings, workshops in schools, colleges and corporate sectors too. Apart from individualised integrated yoga techniques, she is very well versed with the techniques for the promotion of positive health in people.

She currently mentors and coaches many aspiring yoga teachers with her immense knowledge in Yoga Philosophy, YCB trainings, UGC NET examinations and many more .

Her goal of advancing the culture of yoga here at PadmaYog Sadhana and continually exploring new ideas to meet the needs of all students very efficiently in every age category makes her very special.

She firmly believes in this shloka which she follows at every stage of her life ,

The second verse from the Eleventh Anuvaka of Taittiriya Upanishad says:

यान्यनवद्यानि कर्माणि | तानि सेवितव्यानि | नो इतराणि |
यान्यस्माकं सुचरितानि | तानि त्वयोपास्यानि | नो इतराणि || ||

As you gain more freedom, you also have more responsibilities. You will be responsible for the consequences of your actions. Only noble and virtuous actions should be followed and not others.

Realize that you cannot change anyone in this world. The only person you can change is you. So, brace yourself! Accept the good from everyone. Change yourself!
